We’d been trying to hard to get Siena to have some manners and respond to questions with, “Yes, please” or “No, thank you.”
Her latest ways of answering in the affirmative have included:
“I do.”
and
“Oh yeah.”
Sigh. Two steps forward, one back, I suppose. If we can get to, “Oh yeah, please,” then perhaps that’s a good compromise.

I like her word choice! Maybe you could coach her to say “Oh yeah, man.”

In the same vein – when she gets something right, she will very occasionally say, “I nailed it!” I think that phrase may be specifically linked to remembering the names of the three streets between Rte 117 and our house, but not sure. Either way, it’s pretty funny to hear coming from a two-year-old.
