Baby room painted: Check

Today’s entirely infrequent daughter compare-and-contrast comes courtesy of my around-the-house tasklist, which until today included this item:

  • Paint side window and trim in Thalia’s room – Multiple hours, need to do soon

The comment “need to do soon” was added some time in the September time frame.

As of last night, her room is finally painted and she’s over seven months old. We finished painting Siena’s room before she was born.

Next up: Getting the furniture in Thalia’s room all sorted out. We still have a bookcase to swap with one in Siena’s room and a desk to move out. Fortunately, Thalia doesn’t yet care one way or the other.

  1. Mo remembers helping paint Thalia’s room. I learned about edging pads and how neat they can make trimng around doorways, windows and ceilings. I also remember creating extra work by not using the roller pad consistently so the overall effect appeared splotched. Oh dear, I don’t think John was very pleased but he did a good job keeping it from me. But Yea! now it is all done and ready for Thalia to grow up in. Well done!

  2. Funny, isn’t it — Emma’s room was all done before she arrived, and we are still missing items for Gillian’s room, even though she’s now five weeks old. There’s definitely a difference between first and second children.
