Sick Cookie

Thalia is finally getting over a cold that stretches back to last Friday, seven days ago. She had an afternoon-into-evening fever every day from Friday to Wednesday. The doctor on Tuesday said it was just a cold, but what a cold! I don’t remember Siena ever being sick for this long. Mama left work early on Monday to care for her; we split the day Tuesday, I was home Wednesday, and Mama was home Thursday. Thalia did OK during day care today, but did have a 90-minute screaming/whimpering session I was told. She still has a cough and obvious respiratory problems. I’m hoping it clears up over the weekend. Mama is out of town at a boondoggleconference until Monday, so it’s especially important to me that Thalia feel better tomorrow. Here’s hoping!

  1. Poor Baby Girl, and poor baby (John, my youngest) mannaging 2 little ones on your own. Shades and colors of my own, many yesterdays and years ago. You have the experience from your childhood, the challenges now are of the parental kind. You will manage, learn and grow, and probably not get much sleep. But you know this, so carry on the best you can. Mom

  2. Hey, watch it! :-) Next year I think you and the girls should come with me on the boondoggle. If we go to NAVC it will be an opportunity to go somewhere warm in the winter – or we could go to this conference next year, which will be in DC in the spring!
