We last reported on Goodnight Moon nine months ago and a year ago. Siena has gone through several cycles of not wanting to read the book, and then wanting to read it again. Just a few months after that entry, she dropped the habit of touching the page with the house. That is one of the many little things that she did that will have to get replaced by other cute little things, like this new one:

Siena’s activity now is to point to the mouse on every full-color page. The mouse is, in some ways, an easter egg, in that it appears in a different place on each of those pages, doing (or at least implying) some different little activity. As Siena drifts closer and closer to sleep, she more and more gingerly points to the mouse each time and whispers “mouse.”
