Siena is 2 today! Happy birthday little one!

We went to the doctor’s this morning and got some updated vitals:

• Height: 35 3/4″ (Darn, just missed a yard there)
• Weight: 30.7 lb (Mom and dad have the arm muscles to prove it)
• Head: 48 1/4 cm

Doctor says she’s still at the top of the charts for size, but is overall well proportioned. He said she looks like a three-year old. And after hearing her talk and asking some questions which she answered with flying colors (you go girl), he said she’s acting like a three year old, too!

Of course, the wheels came off the bus when she had to get her vaccination and then the blood draw for the lead test. The blood work was bad enough to begin with, but then they didn’t get enough on the first draw, so they had to stick her other arm and get another vial. She didn’t like that one bit.

We hope she won’t associate that experience with her birthday, since we want birthdays to be exciting, fun times to look forward to. Note to self: Dont schedule the next doctor’s appointment on her third birthday.

Finally, I have another birthday essay (see last year’s here) that I’ve been working on, but I just couldn’t get it done in time. It’ll probably take another week, alas. Need to get back to it…
