Sometimes I pick up Siena and hold her up so that the location of her head is a little below mine and a little above mama’s, and then I say, “Just think, this could be her final height.” Mama usually laughs and comments that while we do look forward to a day when Siena is all grown up and doing her own thing, she sure is a fantastic age (and size!) right now.

She’s so snuggily, huggable, and pick-up-able, and (most importantly) she still loves us a lot! She gets so excited and besides herself when she sees us at the end of a school day or when one of us comes home that she stands there jumping up and down and flapping her arms and shouting (in my case) “Daddy! Daddy!” Man that’s great.
