On the way home from a lovely 15th reunion for Mama this afternoon, Siena was singing her A-B-C’s. Around LMNO I started singing along with her. “L M N O P.” Siena stopped, and said,

“No daddy. I don’t need help.”

Mama suggested I record this moment, as it is the first time either of us remember hearing this phrase. We’re certain it’ll become a staple of her speech in the years ahead.
