Upon seeing this, Siena asked mama:

Siena: “Why are those people sad?”

Mama (not wanting to try to figure out how to explain all of this to Siena): I don’t know, sweetie [or something to that effect].

Siena: “Maybe they’re sad because they’re blue.”

She probably didn’t even realize that works on two levels, but it sure was an excellent observation for a 3-year-old!

P.S. Thanks to Nonna and Pops and Uncle Alex, Mama and I were able to go see this in 3D on Boxing Day, and we enjoyed it immensely!
