Right now Siena is able to read the following words in books we read to her:

• Dog
• Cat
• And
• The
• Zoo
• Go

She can also read Mama, Daddy, Siena, and Thalia, though those don’t really show up in the normal course of reading. I also had her recognizing “it,” “is,” and “he” tonight, though it’ll take a few more days for those to settle in.

Depending on the book, she can sometimes pick out on a page up to 12 words that she knows. It’s great to see her put together a back-to-back “And the” in a Dr. Seuss book!
