Siena finished up her first round of ice skating lessons today. She gets to advance from the “yellow dot” group (absolute beginners) to the “white dot” group (people who don’t fall down every minute and can walk on the ice).
Here’s a picture of her yellow-dot group practicing the “sneeze” move, which is where the all group in a circle, count to three, then “sneeze” themselves backwards out of the circle, while shimmying their feet back and forth to make them move backwards. Mama and I are both amazed at how tall their high-school (presumably) teachers are:
And here is Siena practicing going forward by spreading her legs and pointing her toes out, then bringing her legs together while pointing her toes in. She managed to get several meters by doing this today.
