On the way home from a particularly dirty-knee soccer practice today, Siena asked if one of her friends plays soccer. I said, she used to but doesn’t any longer. Siena asked, Why not? I answered that she just didn’t like it that much so she stopped. Siena said, “I love soccer.” I replied, “I love soccer too.” Then Siena, in her inimitably perceptive way, said, “I think you most love that I love soccer.” Smiling, I whispered, “I think you’re right.”
