I’m a few days late but blame travel for work and having to get up at 3 AM the day after her birthday. Mama wrote a great happy birthday note on Facebook for Siena, so I’m just going to copy it here and let it speak for both of us:

To me, 9/11 will always be the day my first baby girl entered the world. Now she’s a tall, articulate 6-year-old who rushes to care for her baby sister whenever Thalia stubs a toe or falls down. I’m so glad you’re here, Siena, my sweetness and light.
