The girls are away this week with a set of grandparents in what we are calling “girl camp.” And Mama and I didn’t travel anywhere; no vacations this time, so we’ve been at home with the house to ourselves.

The upshot? I’ve got more time in the afternoon for work or exercise and more time in the evening after dinner, we went out for dinner at a nice place without worrying about who was going to watch the kids, we aren’t running the dishwasher every day, our milk has lasted a lot longer, we’ve been able to sleep in a little more in the mornings. And we miss the kids terribly and can’t wait to see them again.
